Referee Development Program 2012 General Information

Simon Murgatroyd
The FDSA is very fortunate to again have Board Member, Simon Murgatroyd return as our Director of Officials. Simon is a nationally ranked official who volunteers his time and effort to assist in the development of local referees.
  1. All present provincial referees and entry level referees MUST renew their registration annually with Soccer New Brunswick. Only those individuals who have renewed their registration will be eligible to referee with the FDSA. Registration forms can be found at www.soccernb.org and click on the referee tab.
  2. All applicants interested in attending one of the clinics (see clinic dates tab) must pre-register at the FDSA Office by sending in an application form. You can download the application form by clicking on the Registration tab.
  3. You must be able to attend all sessions of the clinic. Only the first 16 will be accepted in each clinic. If numbers warrant, all others will be placed on a waiting list and a second clinic may be held.
  4. You MUST fill out the Referee Application Form if you want to referee with the FDSA (even if you are not planning on attending any of the clinics). Do not forget however, if you refereed last season you must renew your status with Soccer NB. Please include an e-mail address as this is our main means of communication.
  5. If you are a returning referee, it is highly recommended that you attend the Refresher Clinic. This clinic is MANDATORY for all Entry Level referee’s and is FREE.
