Here is what we’ve been up to at the FDSA Office in order to go green.
- We’re cutting landfill destined waste by fifty percent by going back to the three R’s:
- Reducing,
- reusing,
- and recycling.
- We have also started to compost our organic waste to further reduce our ecological footprint.
- We’ve enacted an office based energy conservation plan to reduce our consumption by 25%.
- We’re cutting down on vehicle use. FDSA staff are walking, biking and carpooling now more than ever to reduce consumption of fossil fuels, and to reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions.
- We are researching greener alternatives to our routine purchases.
- Putting more content online versus printing and distributing. This year’s year end satisfaction surveys will be online to reduce our paper consumption.
