As most of you are aware, Robert Morimanno passed away on October 2, 2019. Our most sincere condolences go out to Laura, Pascal and Caleb. The Fredericton soccer community is deeply saddened by this loss. Robert gave so much of his time and his passion for soccer and for lifelong learning to many kids in the Fredericton area over the years.
As a tribute to Robert and with his son Caleb playing this year for École Ste-Anne, Fredericton High School will host ESA in what we hope is the first “Robert Morimanno Memorial Game” on Thursday, October 10th, 2019 at 7pm at ScotiaBank North field. Gates will open at 6:30pm where admission will be by donation to a Memorial Scholarship fund in Robert’s honour. This will be made available to a Fredericton area high school (ESA, FHS, LHHS) graduating student involved in either FDSA or high school soccer.
A pre-game tribute will be lead by Robert’s friend, David MacDonald, who will be officiating the match.
We encourage everyone in the soccer community to come out and help in this endeavour. We ask that you please share this with as many people as possible and thank you in advance! Remember to wear bright colours!!
