8U-10U FREE JAMBOREE

The West Region Soccer Association is hosting the 3rd Annual 8U-10U Jamboree on Saturday July 11 @ Scotia Bank North.  All 8U-10U soccer players (2005-2008) in the region are invited to participate FREE of cost!  It’s always a really fun day and we give away prizes, run the Pro-Am Skills Competition, and play a bunch of fun mini-games.  It’s also an excellent way for kids to make new soccer buddies from around the region and for the past 2 years we have had nearly 100 kids attend each time!

8U: check-in 8:30am and session 9:00-10:30am
10U: check-in 10:00am and session 10:30-12:00pm

Matt Sloan Memorial Bursary

Beginning in 2012, the Board of Directors agreed to present an annual award in memory of a former FDSA athlete and staff member. The award honors the memory of Matt Sloan, a Fredericton, NB native who died in September 2011.  Matt was a proud graduate of the UNB Kinesiology (Recreation) program and completed his Education degree at the University of Maine Presque Isle. He believed strongly in the power of recreation to enrich lives. From his early childhood, Matt played on many sports teams and, in recent years, coached a number of school and community teams. Guided by his studies and his convictions, he worked for several summers with the Fredericton District Soccer Association and as a counselor at Camp Takajo in Naples, Maine.

The MATT SLOAN MEMORIAL BURSARY ($250) will be presented to a graduating FDSA member who best represents the ideals of an unsung hero and who exemplifies the development of the person through sport.

Registration for the 2015 summer soccer season is now CLOSED. We ask that you please be respectful of the following late registration guidelines as we work to prepare for the season:

  • Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday
  • 11:30am – 1:00pm
  • First-come, first-serve
  • 861 Woodstock Road
  • Cash or cheque only
  • Child(ren) placed on a waitlist until determined if there is still room in the program
  • If you are unable to come during these times, please email fdsa@nb.aibn.com to arrange an appointment
