We are pleased to announce Joe Hamilton as our new Executive Director. Over the last six years since moving from England to Fredericton, Joe has held 5 separate positions within the club in various capacities: Winter Programming Head Coach (2018-2021), Youth Coordinator (2019), U17 Boys Head Coach (2021), Summer Academy Coach (2023), and Game Model Consultant (2023). Joe is also a former Captain of the UNB Reds Men’s Soccer Team, where he was recognized as a 2x AUS All Star and Usport All Rookie Team during his playing career. For the last two years, Joe has transitioned into a coaching role with the team while pursuing a CONCACAF B-license coaching certification. He also assumed the role of Head Coach of Picaroons Men’s Soccer team during the 2023 summer season, where the team won the NBPSL & Challenge Cup Championships.
Joe’s last professional role saw him working as a Performance Analyst for the Canadian Men’s National Team from 2021-2023. In this role, Joe was heavily involved in the historic 2022 World Cup Qualifying Campaign, which saw Canada qualify for the Men’s World Cup for only the second time in the country’s history. Joe traveled to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with the team as a Performance Analyst.
We are thrilled to have Joe on board. With his unique experiences locally, nationally, and internationally, we are excited to have him join the FDSA Team.
“I’m extremely excited to be taking on this new challenge. We have a great Board of Directors and Staff at FDSA, so I’m looking forward to working closely with them on a daily basis. I’m also really looking forward to engaging the local soccer community and our membership to find innovative ways to level up soccer delivery within the community.”
Joe’s contact information can be found on the staff page of our website.
