The FDSA would like to thank everyone who attended the Competitive Programs Info Session on Monday March 19th. A large crowd gathered to learn about all the details of the 3 competitive programs Premiership, Division 1 & U12 Enhanced) on offer for the summer of 2018. There was some great input and feedback on the information presented and a few adjustments have been made as a result. Here are some highlights from the information session:

• U12 Enhanced program is virtually unchanged
• Introduction of Pre-season Camp for Premiership & Division 1 teams (May 20 & 21 @ UNB) as part of regular program. A rebate of $50 will be given to players unable to attend the camp.
• Introduction of Academy training as part of regular Premiership program. This will be Optional for Division 1 players
• Academy program will incl 1 on-field session & 1 CSCA gym session per week for 15 weeks.
• Premiership program will consist of 3 on-field training sessions & 1 Gym session per week + NBSL game schedule (unchanged from 2017)
• Division 1 & U12 Enhanced program will consist of 2 on-field training sessions per week + WRSL game schedule – Option to add Academy training for Division 1 players
• Tryouts start dates: Premiership – April 9, Division 1 & U12 Enhanced – April 20

REMINDER – Registration deadlines: Premiership & U12 Enhanced – March 31, Division 1 – April 14th

The Fredericton District Soccer Association is currently accepting applications for coaches for our Competitive Programs for the summer of 2018. These are volunteer coaching positions working with motivated young athletes at a competitive level.  Coaches will be provided opportunities to attend complimentary training and certification courses necessary to coach at this level, along with access to ongoing website and in-person resources throughout the summer season.

FDSA is proposing the following Competitive Programs for 2018:

U12 Enhanced

•  Girls X 4 Teams
•  Boys X 4 Teams

Premiership

• U13  Girls & Boys
• U14  Girls & Boys
• U15  Girls & Boys
• U17  Girls & Boys

Division 1

• U13 Girls & Boys
• U15 Girls & Boys
• U18 Girls & Boys

Applications must include an outline of coaching qualifications, previous coaching and playing experience, coaching philosophy, as well as the age, gender and category you wish to coach.  Applications must also include a copy of a current criminal record check (dated within last 6 months) OR a copy of a receipt showing application for an updated version.

• Applications for U12 ENHANCED and PREMIERSHIP will be accepted until Friday, January 19th, 2018 at 12:00 noon.
