Holiday Drop-In Soccer Dates Announced

On behalf of the FDSA Board, Dennis and Barry, we would like to wish all of you a Happy Holiday Season and all the best for 2020.

We will be hosting Drop-In soccer sessions at the Dome over the Christmas Season as follows. The cost for the Drop-Ins is $15.00/session:

Friday December 27th

  • 2010-2006 – Boys and Girls 1:00pm to 2:30pm
  • 2005-2002 – Boys and Girls 2:30pm-4:00pm

Monday December 30th

  • 2010-2006 – Boys and Girls 1:00pm to 2:30pm
  • 2005-2002 – Boys and Girls 2:30pm-4:00pm

Thursday January 2nd

  • 2010-2006 – Boys and Girls 1:00pm to 2:30pm
  • 2005-2002 – Boys and Girls 2:30pm-4:00pm

We look forward to seeing everyone over the holiday season.

Call for 2020 Competitive Coaches

The Fredericton District Soccer Association is currently accepting applications for coaches for our Competitive Programs for the summer of 2020. These are volunteer coaching positions working with motivated young athletes at a competitive level.  Coaches will be provided opportunities to attend complimentary training and certification courses necessary to coach at this level, along with access to ongoing website and in-person resources throughout the summer season.

FDSA is proposing the following Competitive Programs for 2020:

U12 Enhanced

  •  Girls X 4 Teams
  •  Boys X 4 Teams

Premiership

  • U13  Girls & Boys
  • U14  Girls & Boys
  • U15  Girls & Boys
  • U17  Girls & Boys

Division 1

  • U13 Girls & Boys
  • U15 Girls & Boys
  • U18 Girls & Boys

Applications must include an outline of coaching qualifications, previous coaching and playing experience, coaching philosophy, as well as the age, gender and category you wish to coach.  Applications must also include a copy of a current criminal record check (dated within last 6 months) OR a copy of a receipt showing application for an updated version.

If interested in coaching and developing soccer players, or if you have any questions, individuals are asked to please submit your application VIA EMAIL to FDSA at bmorrison@fdsa.org.

DEADLINES:

  • Applications for U12 ENHANCED and PREMIERSHIP will be accepted until Friday, January 10th, 2020 at 12:00 noon.
  • Applications for DIVISION I will be accepted until Friday, January 31st, 2020 at 12:00 noon.

Futsal programming available through MCAF

The Multi Cultural Association of Fredericton (MCAF) is offering a Futsal program for all those interested.

Who: All Genders – 8-10, 11-14, 15-18

When: Saturdays 10am-3pm beginning January 11th, 2020

Where: FHS Gym

École Sainte-Anne Varsity Girls win Provincial Division 1 Title!

The NBIAA Senior Boys & Girls Provincial Championships were held in Fredericton last weekend on Saturday and Sunday. 4 division s of player were spread across 4 locations across the City and Oromocto.

3 Fredericton teams competed at the Division 1/AAA level – Fredericton High School (FHS) Boys and Girls Varsity teams and École Sainte-Anne (ESA) Varsity Girls.

Both FHS teams lost their Semi-Final matches on Saturday.

The Girls from ESA earned the Provincial AAA Title with a 4-0 win over École L’Odyssée in the semi-final on Saturday and a 3-1 victory over Mathieu-Martin in the Final!

Congrats girls on a great end to a fantastic season!
